A Hectic April

This month has been a doozy, with an unprecedented amount of highs and lows since starting my business. I don’t hate that this month happened, but it has definitely put a strain on me and what I’ve been able to create.

I want to start by saying I lost my furry best friend of eight years, Sweet Pea. She helped me through so much, including some of the hardest years of my life, and she is dearly missed. Not even four days later, someone broke into and stole my car. Thankfully it was found a few days later, and is currently being fixed, but when it rains it pours I suppose.

My baby, forever at rest.

I had two events this month, one at the Arts@302 Art Market in Broken Arrow and the other at Dutch Dispensary for their 4.20 Block Party. If you missed these events, check out my Facebook page! I have more frequent updates of events going on there.

Arts@302 has an Art Market every month, and I expect to be back on June 8th and every second Saturday going forward. The interactions I had with shoppers and other vendors was so much fun! The farmer’s market was going on at the same time, and seeing all the fresh produce and flowers everyone purchased was such a delight.

The 4.20 Block Party at Dutch Dispensary was more than a medical marijuana event, it was also a fundraiser for Friends of Glenpool animal shelter. Volunteers were there with a handful of pups that were up for adoption, and I got to interact with all of them! They were so sweet, if a little pee-happy. I took discounted pet portrait commissions for donation, as well as a plan to donate 15% of all my earnings that day to the shelter. Thanks to those that bought things from me, I raised over $125 to donate to the shelter!

All photos from the 4.20 event were taken by C.C. Bean Imagery, an amazing human that I’m always grateful to work with. Check them out on Facebook under the same name for all sorts of photoshoots, from business events to personal photos.

As I always do with my grief, I’ve been pouring myself into my art. I have an event at the K & Co Dance Studio in Claremore on the 21st, with a few more events in tow for June. I’ll post more about those as more information comes out.

As always, thank you for supporting me. Hold your furry friends close and love them with your whole heart. I’ll see you guys again soon.
